Where did I leave off...

OKay so... we scraped and be built a fence... we finished the fence at HOH! YAY! I had no doubt that we wouldnt finish every task we started however I heard a rumor someone was concerned. Wonder who that could have been?
Wednesday started a bit rough. Shelby woke up with a very painful ear ache adn had been feeling poorly since we got in Amsterdam. I shouldnt have been surprised because she gets sick every time she flies. What do you do and where do you go when you dont speak the language and dont know your way around a foreign country? You thank GOD you have been places witht he right people... Stella, our house mom, called Dr C who is th ebrother in law of Petry/Kyle and he was here within 15-20 minutes from his 24 hour rotation at the hospital. Pastor drove him here, he saw Shelby in the bedroom and gave her the Rx she needed. Petry took the prescription to the pharmacy and brought it back and with in an hour she was taking antibiotics, live cultures to protect her stomache and ear drops and ibuprofen. I didnt know what most of this stuff was until we had dinner with Dr C and his family tonight. Anyway... Shelby was pretty sick and feeling bad that she was missing the village after she promised a young Girl, Tabita, that she would be there. PRAISE GOD for our prayer warriors because within 5 hours Shelby was feeling well enough she wanted to go to the Village. Tabita was there waiting for her with a hand beaded bracelet for Shelby! A token of friendship... are you teary eyed yet? Come on thats GOOD stuff!
Thursday the moms and kids went to a school and spoke with 3/th graders and 9th graders. It was really fun.. I could have chatted with them all day. They just wanted to hear us speak English as they are learning it as a 3rd language... German, Romanian and English. Whew.... The guys went to the village Torcia to finish painting which was totally fine. As they worked, Michael walked us aroung Fagaras shopping and sightseeing. We toured the outside of the castle in the daytime which is much better and went to the farmers market. YUM! We met up with the boys and headed to the Carpathian Mountains to get to the TOP! WOW I rode those little carts, gondola things maybe on cables... I didnt complain too loudly I dont think! I loved it really. We ate yummy goods at the top and headed down a little off schedule as the kids in Torcia and Cinscu were waiting for us to play a big soccer game... that was a blast! We colored with the little ones while some of the big guys finished the painting touch ups and the soccer game was going on. Then off to the next thing... whew... we got the real ROMANIAN experience and loved every minute of it!
Corinna made dinner for uss tonight at her place with her family. O my! That was one good Romanian meal and 2 different desserts and of course we ate a bit of each of everything actually. The friends we have made are fantastic! I sure hope to serve them this way someday.
So now I am sitting on my bed... packed for a starter and ready for tomorrow and whatever is brought our way. I had a good cry on Shawns shoulder which really didnt help. I guess I will just have to go through the emotions as they come. Saying goodbye to those little faces today tore my heart apart. Shelby and Ian really made connections here with these kids. Serving them was a pleasure well no really an honor. I dont think these emotions are something I have ever felt but I know they are good. Bringing them to America will be something we will all benefit from... one way or another. you will get tired of hearing me say... "In Romania we..." or " In Romania they..." so just prepare yourself ahead of time. Course if you come next time you wont have to ask why!
