Matthew’s Team Schedule

19 Saturday – Arrive

20 Sunday – Church
• 9:45am I will pick you up at the hotel to go to church (dressed up for church)
• Food (lunch 12:15 PM + dinner 8:30 PM) - • 1:45 PM-4:00 PM –villages and see the mission points where we will be working during the week. The first village will be Toarcla. Please prepare a few songs, a lesson for children plus a few applications for adults too. There could be from 20 children up to 40. Also a craft or coloring sheets would be nice.
• 4:15 PM - 5:30 –The second village will be Cincsor – another Bible club with a small group of children (a more advanced Bible story as the children are a little more educated than the first village) Some sweets or a craft will work here too for 10 kids.
• 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Evening church service. If your group can sing, or share testimonies, or bring an encouragement to our church, this is the time to do it. Just let me know what ways you would like to participate.


21 Monday thru 24 Thursday Construction + Outreach
• Breakfast at the hotel (we will talk about the time)
• 9:00 - depart for Savastreni (the Horizon of Hope center) where we will do as much as possible to build a fence in the back of the property)
• 12:30 - 2:00 PM In Fagaras for lunch
• 2:00 - 5:30 – Outreach in villages (Combinat and Toarcla) **see below for more information about what to prepare for the villages.
• Also each day we will try to buy them a different kind of fruit for every kid.
• 6:00 - 7:30 – Dinner
• 7:30 - free time (visit the town, or probably spend some time with youth from our church, come hang out at our apartment, etc … )

In one or two of these mornings we will be going to Toarcla to fix up the room where we meet. I am not sure how much the expenses will be for fixing the room but just to give you a rough estimate I would say around $200. Trip also will add another $160 for 2 days as we might have to drive back for lunch and go back after lunch to finish.

Information about ministering to the children in villages:
In total your team should be prepared with three different lessons for the children in the villages. One lesson you will do on Sunday afternoon, and then the other two you will do during the week. Let’s call these lessons #1, #2, #3. The tentative schedule will look like this:
• Sunday – Toarcla (lesson #1) 20-40 kids and Cincsor (lesson #1, with maybe a little more to add b/c the children in this area are a bit brighter) 15 kids.
• Monday - Combinat (lesson #2) from 40-80 kids
• Tuesday – Combinat (Lesson #3) from 40-80 kids
• Wednesday Toarcla (lesson #2) from 20-40 kids
• Thursday (lesson #3) from 20-40 kids

You could also do a craft or coloring sheet to go along with the lessons. Please prepare some songs to sing and also some children’s games, like duck duck goose and other simple ones. We will also be playing soccer with the kids, so if your team could bring 3 soccer balls and 2 rubber balls (dodge ball type) that would be more than helpful. Of course if you have any questions about these things please don’t hesitate to ask.
If you chose to have coloring sheets to go along with some lessons, we can make the copies here. If you could bring some candies from the states that would be great. Sam’s sells assorted candy at a great price.
